As the season for Lampuki (mahmah) reaches its peak, the fishermen in Marsaxlokk get ready to host a traditional festival to celebrate their catch. This year the Marsaxlokk Fish Fest will be held on Saturday, 16 September between 6 and 11pm.
This event is very popular and has also become part of the Maltese traditions. Fresh fish will be on sale whilst local folk and popular singers will be entertaining the public.
Marsaxlokk is just 6km away from Lemon Tree B&B
Local artists would be creating different crafts which can be bought from their stalls. Restaurants will be serving special menus to mark this annual event. A kids’ corner will also be available for those visiting with children.
